Why is any of this a surprise? The country has a generational high unemployment rate and debt as percentage of GDP rate. Incumbent legislators of all stripes have presided over the mortgaging of future generations, enslaving our children and grandchildren to pay for the entitlements of this generation. The only question I have is why it has taken so long to see these changes. If the press thinks this portends well for the Democrats, I predict another surprise is around the corner.
